Three life-changing nonprofits in the Quakertown area – Quakertown Community Outreach, Quakertown Pride and Upper Bucks Code Blue – kick off the summer on June 25 with Outreach ’22, a free concert at the Univest Performance Center, 301 West Mill St., Quakerville.

Award-winning band Craig Thatcher, known for their classic rock and blues as well as their own original songs, will take the amphitheater stage at 6 p.m. after the opening act, Freedom in Christ.

Quakertown Community Outreach helps with bills, medications, transportation, clothing and housing for people in crisis. The Upper Bucks Code Blue offers hot meals and comfortable places to sleep. Pride of Quakertown offers scholarships to young people who cannot afford to participate in sports and other activities.

The concert is free, donations will be accepted on site to support the many programs offered by the associations. Most of the funds raised will be generated by sponsoring events. Those interested in becoming a sponsor can email QtownBenefitConcert@gmail.com for more information.

There is ample free parking in parking lots surrounding the site, including the adjacent Bucks County Free Library, as well as disabled parking on site. There will be a wheelchair accessible section and guests are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets. There will be several food truck concessions.
